NH TU Youth Trout Camp

The NH TU Youth Trout Camp is conducted annually each summer in Pittsburg, NH by the NH TU State Council and it's supporting chapters throughout the state.

Volunteers from TU host the camp for young adults 13-16 years of age. The objective is to teach these young men and women all about fly fishing, aquatic ecosystems and the need for coldwater conservation. Lessons include casting techniques, reading the water, and fly tying. One of the most important aspects of the camp is to teach the campers the importance of preserving, protecting and reconnecting our coldwater resources in the state of New Hampshire.  During their stay at the camp the campers work with TU members and employees to enhance coldwater resources in the Pittsburg area.

To catch a fish on a fly that I tied was awesome!"  - Former camper

Numerous local merchants, businesses and individuals join in the effort to raise funds for the Dr. Richard J. Schilling Foundation, used to send children and buy equipment and supplies for Trout Camp. Please read more about Dr. Richard J.
